My favorite movie of all-time has officially changed from a number of random movies to Andrew Lloyd Webber's version of Phantom of the Opera, now known as The Greatest Movie in the Universe in my book, despite all the people who hate it in comparison to the play, but I haven't watched the play and therefor it's amazing. Though I do plan to watch the play in Las Vegas someday, along with Wicked.
In fact I loved it so much that I bought the e-book version and have already read a decent amount, and I also am planning a spin-off in modern-day time. It shall be epic.
My favorite character is Erik, also known as the Phantom. Raoul was prissy, and despite Erik's crazy rampages and killings, I felt so sorry for him. It was tragic that he had such a bad childhood when he was really so beautiful. I also disliked Christine Daae, even though she was quite beautiful herself. She seemed too emotionless in the movie. Though she definitely fit the part.
It also seemed like a nice spin-off of Beauty and the Beast. Similar, with the 'beast' with the scarred face, temper, and everyone hating him. Same beautiful, small character who falls in love with the beast. Only of course she had to choose her darn childhood sweetheart.
Also, my newest favorite show is Once Upon a Time on ABC. I love it. Definitely recommend it. In fact, I'm watching it on Hulu as I type this. Talented, aren't I? xD
